Here we go.

Selaixsén was not 'born' because her somebody lost her heart, she'd appear on her own will power.She has the mysterious power, that she can tell people to do something and they do it.( not like suicide or something, more like 'don't cry' ) She was found by Xemnas who wanted to use her powers for his interests. She was afraid of him(and some other members too), and found friends and support in Roxas, Saíx(mostly Saíx) and Zexion(she is problably the only one who understads him). Then someday she managed to escape. She found Prometheus, for whom she felt sorry, so she took him with her. Since then they're the best friends. But using Prometheus as her weapon made her loose a little part of her personality, which was replaced by Prometheus. Because of that she has her 'Berserk' form, and the huge wish to help human beings. So she tried, but when she noticed that they didn't care, she turned her back on them and hated them. But she always thought about the things Xemnas said, like that she had no heart. She finally joined the Disorganisation XIII(:3) and became their number VIII.
